ST. BASIL'S CHAPEL
The White Monks of Peter Ferrara kept the Sanctuary from the beginning until 1600. Then from Grottaferrata, in 1631 came the Basilian Monks. Zealously religious they built a mystical chapel and on the altar collocated a painting by G. Diano showing St. Basil. On the walls are painted frescos of other Basilian Saints, some of which are the works of A. Solimene.
